The Global Economic Governance (GEG) Africa programme is a policy research and stakeholder engagement programme to strengthen the influence of pro-poor African coalitions at global economic governance fora.

The improvement of tax enforcement technology in the Fourth Industrial Revolution is on the agenda at the meetings, hosted by the South African Revenue Service (SARS). “Digitalisation is regarded to be the most significant development of the world economy since the industrial revolution,” said the SARS. New approaches to taxation governance and economic and technological co-operation, expected to contribute significantly to the improvement of a global economic governance system, will also be discussed.
